Voters have longed for a clean race.  The APS Board candidates showed that a clean race can be a reality.  I want to thank all of the candidates for their civility and their ideas.

The voters of Aurora have decided to go a different route and I respect their wishes.  In the end we all desire that our school district be the strongest in Colorado.

I want to thank all the volunteers that gave of their time for the campaign.

My name is Carlos Estrada and I am running for the Aurora School Board.  My goal is to help change the course of Aurora schools.

I hope you will find the following information helpful in your decision on who to vote for in November.  Who you vote for in this election will change the face of the Aurora School District.  It is time for change in Aurora.  I bring a new perspective and fresh ideas to help Aurora schools become stronger.

I am spending the next couple of months gathering information from you by walking door to door and talking with voters about their thoughts on our schools.  Too many candidates come to the table with their own pre-conceived notions and ideas and they are not willing or open to new ideas.  I am open to new ideas; I am open to your ideas.

Whether you’re a parent, a grandparent, a teacher, a janitor or even a student I want to hear from you about your ideas to make our district the strongest in Colorado.  In my eyes everyone has a valued opinion and it is a waste to not use those ideas. I know that you care deeply about your children and you know that education is extremely important.  It will take all of us getting involved to make a change.
